Come check out the Christmas Village from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Levy Center from December 19 through December 23.
James Roman Personal History James was born and raised in the Chicago area in the late 40s. His wife, Cheryl, is from Carbondale. They have two children and two grandchildren. In the 90s, they left Chicago and spent time in Connecticut and North Carolina and then retired to Florida. After realizing how much they missed their kids and grandkids they decided to move back to the Chicago area. James has been setting up his village display for people to enjoy for over 20 years.
Village Facts There are over 30 major lighted buildings, with several having detailed internal lighted scenes like the barbershop, pool hall, and carriage shop. There are also another 40 minor buildings, bridges, and scenes. There are over 150 trees, four ponds, and 20 feet of river. There are two trains and an animated skating rink. Among the many dozens of people are police officers, firefighters, priests, nuns, Santas, lamplighters, musicians, and a chimney sweep. There are over 70 animals.
New Fitness Classes & New Instructor- Sandy Nowarita
Come check out Levy's new fitness instructor, Sandy Nowaritz, as she is doing two new classes on Tuesdays. Power up at 10:45 a.m. and Restore Yoga at 11:45 a.m. Register today for these new exciting classes starting in January!
January Finance Series
The topic for January is "Outlook & Opportunities." All adults ages 50 and over are welcome to attend. This seminar is sponsored and led by Neil Gardner of Edward Jones Financial in Skokie and is offered via Zoom. To register, please call the Levy Senior Center at 847-448-8250.

Fran Randall Concert
The Levy Senior Center Foundation is proud to bring the talents of young, award-winning classical musicians to the Levy Senior Center. The outstanding lineup continues to honor the memory of Fran Randall who loved classical music and played an important role in opening the current center. The concert will be on Friday, January 20 at 1:30 p.m.
Levy Café
The Levy Senior Center is serving hot meals Monday through Friday and 5-pack frozen meals on Tuesdays. Apply online to join the Senior Congregate Meal Program. To learn more, call the Levy Senior Center front desk at 847-448-8250.

Ride the Levy Bus
The Levy Senior Center bus begins its route on the north end of Evanston at 9 a.m. working its way to the south end. Drop-off at the Levy Senior Center is at approximately at 10:15 a.m. The first return route leaves the Levy Senior Center at 12:30 p.m. The second and final return route leaves the Levy Senior Center at 3:30 p.m.
Grocery shopping is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning at 11:15 a.m. On Tuesdays, the bus will drop-off at the Dempster Street Plaza. On Wednesdays the bus will drop-off at Aldi, Sam’s Club, Food for Less, Jewel, and Target. The bus will come pick-up shoppers at the end of the shopping trip and drive shoppers home. This service is provided to adults and seniors ages 55 and over.
