Participatory Budgeting Evanston would like to invite you to their first official Idea Collection Assembly on Tues., Nov. 22, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., at the Robert Crown Community Center, 1801 Main St.
What is participatory budgeting? It is a process where community members are able to directly decide how to spend $3 million on issues they care about. Throughout the process, community members will submit ideas for how to spend the money, develop ideas into proposals, and vote on how to allocate funds.
At this Idea Collection Assembly, you can submit your ideas for how to spend the money and learn how to become a budget delegate who will develop submitted ideas for next summer’s ballot.
There will be a limited number of spots for the assembly, so please fill out this short RSVP form by Fri., Nov. 18 to secure your spot. Food, transportation, interpretation, and childcare support will be provided.
