Take a free mini-course with Northwestern emeritus Emile A. Okal, tsunami expert
Throughout Earth's history, few natural phenomena have resulted in such widespread colossal damage and loss of life as tsunamis, caused by volcanos, earthquakes, and even giant meteor strikes. Learn from Northwestern University Professor Emeritus Emile Okal's 40-year career spent studying the physics and geology of tsunamis -- frequently on site from Peru to Samoa, Yemen to Madagascar, and arriving as soon as possible after they strike.
Part of our NU Emeriti Organization free Mini Course Series, this course will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 18. Readings are distributed before the first class.
