"Bike the Ridge" to Impact Traffic on Ridge Avenue, Sept. 25
Ridge to be closed to vehicles from Howard to Church streets
 EVANSTON, IL - To accommodate the annual “Bike the Ridge” event, Ridge Avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic from Howard to Church streets this Sunday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
Residents who live on Ridge Avenue will not be able to exit from their driveways during this time, and should park their vehicle on a nearby side street if they plan to drive during the event.
Traffic control will be in place at all side streets and major cross streets along Ridge Avenue. When safe, traffic control officers will facilitate vehicles to cross east-west at the following locations:
- Davis/Ridge
- Lake/Ridge
- Dempster/Ridge
- Greenleaf/Ridge
- Main/Ridge
- Oakton/Ridge
“Bike the Ridge” is a free, non-competitive City-sponsored special event. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 25.
