Candidate forum set for Tuesday, September 6
 EVANSTON, IL - As a part of the search for a new 2nd Ward City Councilmember, a candidate forum will be held in-person and virtually on Tuesday, September 6 at 7 p.m., to provide the public with an opportunity to hear from all nine candidates who are seeking the position.
The forum will be held in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Morton Civic Center. Community members may attend this event in person or via Zoom. The forum will be live streamed, recorded and replayed on the City's YouTube channel (which has real-time closed captions) and Channel 16.
During the forum, candidates will be interviewed by Mayor Biss. Interested residents may submit questions and/or comments in advance.
Under state law, the candidate appointed by the mayor and approved by City Council to fill this vacancy will serve until the municipal election in 2023.
