Economic Security for Illinois is offering 6 to 8 Chicagoland artists the opportunity to participate in a one year fellowship. Selected Fellows will receive a $20,000 award and will engage with their cohort on narrative change strategy. Learn more and apply by August 1.
City Offering Assistance for purchase of Electric Leaf Blowers
The City of Evanston recently approved financial assistance of up to $3,000 for Evanston-based landscaping companies to purchase commercial grade electric powered leaf blowers and/or accessory battery packs through the Entrepreneurship Support Grant!
As recommended by the Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP), the Evanston City Code was recently amended to begin restricting the usage of gasoline and propane-powered leaf blowers, and will restrict use entirely beginning April 1, 2023.
