Pick up your 2022 Beach Pass next week!
Dreaming of sunshine and sand between your toes? Evanston season beach passes will be available beginning Monday, April 11. Swimming beaches will open Memorial Day weekend.
New this year! To ensure all community members can enjoy Evanston beaches, free season passes will be available for Evanston residents.
Where can I pick up my pass? Starting April 11, you can pick up passes for your household with proof of residency (60201 and 60202) from the Robert Crown Community Center, Levy Senior Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Ecology Center and Chandler-Newberger Community Center. (Passes will not be available at the Morton Civic Center.)
What if I don't live in Evanston? Non-Evanston residents must purchase season or daily beach passes to access Evanston swimming beaches. Season passes can be purchased at the community centers listed above. Daily passes can be purchased beginning May 2 via the Viply app.
Evanston secures federal funding for Accessible Solar Program
The City has secured $500,000 in Congressionally-directed federal funding to provide low-income Evanston households with expanded access to solar power through the creation of a new Accessible Solar Program.
Mortgage assistance is available
Beginning April 11, homeowners who've fallen behind on mortgage payments due to the pandemic can seek support through the Illinois Housing Development Authority's (IHDA) Illinois Emergency Homeowner Assistance Fund.

COVID-19 Update

Cases: Evanston reported 95 new confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last seven days, compared to 69 for the week prior. The current seven-day moving average of daily confirmed cases is 13.57.
To date, Evanston has had 11,488 total confirmed cases, and 147 residents have died of illness or complications related to COVID-19. View the City’s interactive COVID-19 dashboard (view on mobile).
Positivity rate: The City’s seven-day moving average positivity rate is 0.93 percent, compared to 1.14 percent for the week prior.
Hospitalizations: View local COVID-19 hospitalizations over the last 30 days.
Vaccinations: 97.2 percent of residents 5 years and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 87.8 percent are fully vaccinated. View the City’s vaccination data dashboard (view on mobile) for the latest Evanston-specific vaccination data from the IDPH.
Are you eligible for a 2nd COVID-19 booster?
The Evanston Health & Human Services Department and IDPH have adopted CDC guidance allowing a second COVID-19 booster dose for some individuals to increase their protection against severe disease from COVID-19. Learn more about booster dose eligibility and availability on the City's COVID-19 vaccination page.
Where can you get a second booster shot?
Visit vaccines.gov to find and schedule a vaccination appointment.
You can also complete the City’s vaccine booster survey to be notified of upcoming vaccination clinics hosted by the Evanston Health & Human Services Department.
