Howard Street from Dodge to Grey Avenues Closed to Traffic On Wednesday Morning, April 6
 EVANSTON, IL - The City of Evanston and the Evanston Police Department are notifying Evanston community members that a portion of Howard Street will be closed to traffic throughout the morning on Wednesday, April 6 due to a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Illinois headquarters for the Lubavitch Chabad organization.
To facilitate safety, the Evanston Police Department will implement traffic control measures in the area, including:

Howard Street will be closed to traffic from Dodge/California Avenue to Grey/Francisco Avenue, 9 a.m. to noon. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The event officially begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until approximately noon.

Parking will be prohibited along Howard Street from Dodge/California Avenue to Grey/Francisco Avenue. Towing will begin at 8 a.m. "No Parking" signs have been posted.
Evanston Police officers will be on hand throughout the event to assist drivers. Community members are encouraged to follow the Evanston Police Department Twitter, @EvanstonPD, for updates on the day of the event.
