Evanston Police Identify Deceased Woman Recovered from the Lake on March 17 as Elise Malary

EVANSTON, IL - On March 17, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Evanston Police and Fire Departments responded to Garden Park in the 500 block of Sheridan Sq. for a woman in the water by the rocks. The Evanston Fire Department recovered the deceased woman from the water and she was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

On March 19, 2022, the investigation led to the deceased woman being positively identified as Elise Malary, a 31-year-old missing Evanston woman. Malary was reported missing to the Evanston Police Department on March 11, 2022.

The Evanston Police Department continues the investigation and there are no additional updates at this time.
