As part of the search for Evanston’s next city manager, community members were invited to meet the two candidates selected as finalists for the position during a virtual community town hall this past Sunday.

 7 capital improvement projects to watch in 2022
With a new year upon us, the City is preparing for some big capital improvement projects throughout Evanston. From water main rehabilitation to road repairs to sidewalks, you can look forward to improvements to safety and accessibility. Check out these seven capital improvement projects to keep your eye on this year.
 Summer camp registration is coming up!
It's only January, but it's already time to start thinking about summer camps! The 2022 Summer Camp Guide is now available.
Register: Evanston residents can register online on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 8 a.m. to noon.
 Last chance to recycle holiday trees and lights
Taking down your decorations a little late this year? No worries, there's still time to recycle your Christmas tree. City crews will pick up trees on residents' normal refuse pickup day through January 28. Trees should be placed on the parkway, between the street and the sidewalk.
Holiday string lights: Recycle your burnt out bulbs through January 31. Lights can be dropped off at the Evanston Ecology Center, Levy Senior Center, and Robert Crown Community Center.
