Reminder for drivers: Vehicle immobilizations have resumed
Drivers with three or more unpaid citations are subject to immobilization, either through a "barnacle" placed across the vehicle's windshield (shown above) or a metal boot on the vehicle's wheel.
Do you have unpaid citations? Check the status online
Do you have three or more parking citations? Check the status of your citations online and find out if your vehicle is subject to booting. The City has resumed vehicle immobilizations after suspending them in March 2020.
Payment plans may be available: Individuals with financial hardship may be able to initiate a payment plan by visiting the City Collector's Office at the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Individuals can also contact the Collector's Office by calling/texting 847-448-4311.
