Proof of vaccination to be required for patrons entering the Levy Senior Center effective today, January 10
The Evanston Health & Human Services Department has issued new mitigation orders amid the COVID-19 surge. Establishments subject to the order include all indoor settings where food and drink are served for on-premise consumption, such as restaurants, as well as recreation and exercise facilities, such as health clubs, gyms, fitness studios, and recreation centers. Children in grades Pre-K-12 are exempt from the vaccination order at all Evanston community centers. Learn more.

January Finance Series
The topic for this month is "Outlook and Opportunities". All adults age 50 and over are welcome to attend. Hospice 101
Hospice care is one of the most unique and robust types of care covered under Medicare. However, many people don’t know much about it. This workshop will describe in detail what hospice is, who is eligible, who pays for care, and what services are included. This program will be presented via Zoom. Registration is required.

Levy Café
The Levy Senior Center is serving hot meals Monday through Friday and 5-pack frozen meals on Tuesdays. Apply online to join the Senior Congregate Meal Program. To learn more, call the Levy Senior Center front desk at 847-448-8250.
Program update: Due to the continuing surge in new COVID-19 cases, all congregate meals will need to be picked up and consumed at home. No indoor dining until further notice. We appreciate your understanding.
 The Levy Lecture Series is a free program featuring top lecturers, authors and entertainers for residents 55 and over, who are passionate about learning. Lectures are bi-monthly via Zoom on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Register and you will receive an email with easy-to-follow steps. Sponsored by the Levy Senior Center Foundation.

The Levy Senior Center Foundation, through the Northlight Theatre's Arts for Everyone program, is offering 25 pairs of FREE tickets to their production of "Fireflies" written by Donja R. AARP Tax-Aide Preparation
The Levy Senior Center is communicating with volunteers from AARP Tax-Aide Foundation in hopes to offer a modified income tax preparation service in 2022. Learn to Square Dance

Rachel recently joined the staff at the Levy Senior Center as the weekday morning front desk clerk. Rachel has been working for the City of Evanston since the summer of 2021 as a floater, providing front office support. She graduated with a B.A. in Music from Knox College and has worked in various office positions over the years. Currently, she is studying to be a front-end engineer. In her free time she enjoys walks, trying out new restaurants, partaking in community events, and reading.
