Snow is in the forecast for this weekend
With six to eight inches of snow expected on Saturday, now is a good time to familiarize yourself with what you should know when it snows!
Free parking option: The City will offer free parking in the Maple Avenue Parking Garage, 1800 Maple Ave., beginning Sat., Jan. 1 through Thurs., Jan. 6 at 11:59 p.m. (Note: Regular parking fees will apply at the Sherman Plaza and Church Street parking garages January 3-6. Parking will be free on New Year's Day and on Sunday at these locations.)
Parking restrictions: Please follow the posted street signage to allow plows to effectively clear streets. Review snow parking restrictions and ways to stay informed.
Don't forget to clear your sidewalks: Property owners and occupants are responsible for clearing a 36-inch wide path on sidewalks within 24 hours after any accumulation of snow or ice, including on crosswalks and accessibility ramps.
Need assistance with shoveling? The City's Snow Shoveling Assistance Program connects senior and disabled residents with volunteers who are willing to provide snow shoveling services.
