Evanston Police Make Arrest in Connection with November 28 Shooting
EVANSTON, IL - On November 28, 2021, the Evanston Police Department responded to a shooting at the intersection of Green Bay Rd and Foster St. When officers arrived they located five shooting victims. One victim, Carl Dennison a 17-year old resident of Skokie, died at the scene. The remaining four victims were transported to local hospitals.
On December 9, 2021, Evanston Police and NORTAF charged a Chicago man, Leonard Galvez, in connection with this shooting. During the investigation Galvez made statements to investigators admitting involvement in the shooting acting as the driver of the offending vehicle.
Two victims, a 14-year old female and a 17-year old male, remain hospitalized.

Galvez appeared in bond court on December 10, 2021, and is being held without bond. His next scheduled court appearance is December 28, 2021, at the Skokie Courthouse.
