As a reminder, the Levy Senior Center is closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

The Winter Program Guide is now available to view online. This digital only issue provides hundreds of recreation programs, special events, and ways to keep you healthy, active, and having fun this winter season.

December Science with Seniors
Each month, graduate students from Northwestern University “visit” the Levy Senior Center to discuss different science topics. We will be discussing the topics of the science of plastics and recycling and "what is epigenetics?" on Thurs., December 9 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join the seminar.
Rent our pickleball courts

Levy Café
The Levy Senior Center is serving hot meals Monday through Friday and 5-pack frozen meals on Tuesdays. Apply online to join the Senior Congregate Meal Program. To learn more, call the Levy Senior Center front desk at 847-448-8250.
 The Levy Lecture Series is a free program featuring top lecturers, authors and entertainers for residents 55 and over, who are passionate about learning. Lectures are bi-monthly via Zoom on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Register and you will receive an email with easy-to-follow steps. Sponsored by the Levy Senior Center Foundation.
A Special Holiday Concert
The Levy Senior Center Foundation is kicking off the holidays with a special Jamming Jean virtual concert featuring harmonica legend Corky Siegel and blues and jazz diva Lynne Jordan on Friday, December 10 at 6 p.m.

Ride the Levy Bus
The Levy Senior Center bus begins its route on the north end of Evanston at 9 a.m. working it’s way to the south end. Drop-off at the Levy Senior Center is approximately at 10:15 a.m. The first return route leaves the Levy Senior Center at 12:30 p.m. The second and final return route leaves the Levy Senior Center at 3:30 p.m.
Grocery shopping is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning at 11:15 a.m. On Tuesdays, the bus will drop-off at the Dempster Street Plaza. On Wednesdays the bus will drop-off at Aldi, Sam’s Club, Food for Less, Jewel, and Target. The bus will come pick-up shoppers at the end of the shopping trip and drive shoppers home. This service is provided to adults and seniors age 55 and over.

Mayor's Holiday Food, Book, and Toy Drive
To ensure every Evanston family gets to celebrate this holiday season, Mayor Biss is encouraging all community members to participate in the 13th annual Mayor's Holiday Food, Book and Toy Drive.
Through Friday, December 10, the City is collecting new, unwrapped toys in addition to staple food items for holiday meals, including stuffing, green beans, yams, mac and cheese, corn and corn bread mix.
