W.B. Olson, Inc. will be performing utility work on Ridge Avenue associated with the YWCA Evanston/Northshore,1215 Church St. This work will be conducted in three phases, with the first phase beginning on August 24. Work will affect adjacent properties with traffic modifications on Ridge Avenue between Clark Street and Church Street.
Phase 1: Storm sewer connection work will take place between August 24 and 27. During the installation and connection of the new storm sewer, the sidewalk on the west side of Ridge Avenue will be closed and southbound traffic on Ridge Avenue will be reduced to one lane from Clark to Church Streets. Northbound Ridge Avenue traffic will be detoured at Church Street. Motorist going to the downtown area should use Emerson Street.
Phase 2: The disconnection of water services will take place between August 30 and September 1. During water service disconnection, a modified traffic pattern will be placed, allowing one lane of traffic for both the Southbound and Northbound traffic on Ridge Avenue.
Phase 3: Retaining wall repairs will take place between September 2 and 10. During these repairs, southbound Ridge Avenue traffic will be reduced to one lane. Northbound Ridge Avenue traffic will not be impacted.
