Evanston Police Announce 2021 National Night Out Event
 EVANSTON, IL - Community members are invited to participate in the “National Night Out” (NNO) celebration event taking place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Penny Park, 1500 Lake St., 5:30 p.m. - 2nd Ward Alderman Peter Braithwaite and neighbors will participate with a movie in the park. Bring a chair, warm blanket and snacks to enjoy a viewing of Jumaniji Next Level. The movie will start at 7:00 p.m. Smoke & Soul food truck and CW Market will be on site with food and treats availble for purchase. Officers will also be on site with NNO giveaways.
Residents are also asked to turn on their front porch lights that evening as a display of unity.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Neighbors participate across thousands of communities from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.
