 Evanston has Pride!
In honor of Pride Month in June, the City has raised a Pride flag outside the Morton Civic Center.
Help celebrate by joining Evanston Pride this Saturday, June 26 for a drive-by house parade, community picnic, and Candle Lighting Ceremony and Memorial. You can also purchase a "Proud To Be..." yard sign or t-shirt to help show your Pride.

Do you have items that are no longer working? Don't toss them, repair them! Sign up for a 30-minute time slot and meet with a repair expert during this free event at the Robert Crown Brand Library on Sat., June 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up today.
 'Evanston Recycles' returns on July 10
It's almost time to get rid of unwanted items in your home! Recycle electronics and unused medications, and securely shred documents at the "drive up, drop off" "Evanston Recycles" event on July 10 from 9 a.m.. to noon at Evanston Township High School.
Expanded summer activities for youth
The City has launched a new My City, Your City, Our City initiative, which will provide safe, fun, free and enriching summer activities geared towards youth ages 13 to 18 at parks and community centers throughout the summer. Learn more.
 Virtual 4th of July Celebration and Photo Contest
The Evanston Fourth of July Association has decided to cancel its fun run, parade, band performance and lakefront fireworks show for Independence Day this year. Join the Association for a safe, creative, virtual celebration instead! Tune in on Sun., July 4 to enjoy the broadcast.
Submit your photos: Community members are invited to enter the Association's photo contest. Photos can be submitted under five categories and will be accepted through Fri., July 9. Local business gift cards will be awarded to the winners.

Become a Sustain Evanston business: The Sustain Evanston program incentivizes businesses to voluntarily reduce their environmental impact and create a healthier community. Recognized businesses will receive a window decal, a communications toolkit and $350.

Support Evanston's climate goals: Evanston residents can receive guaranteed electricity cost savings by joining the City of Evanston's Community Solar Program. Through this program, you can enjoy the benefits of solar without the cost of installation.
