The City of Evanston has contracted road resurfacing work on nine street segments throughout the City over the next twelve weeks beginning the week of June 14.
This project involves curb replacement as needed, roadway base repair, sewer work, the replacement of asphalt surface from curb to curb, selected ADA sidewalk replacement and driveway aprons. The construction has been planned in two phases.

The actual date when construction is planned for specific streets will be noted on the temporary "No Parking" signs posted 48 hours prior to the start of work. All attempts will be made to minimize construction activity inconveniences for abutting residents. Construction zone daytime "No Parking" restrictions will be intermittent throughout the duration of the project; however, evening and nighttime parking from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. will always be available. Street sweeping and neighborhood parking restrictions will be waived for a one block radius around the construction zone when temporary daytime "No Parking" is in effect.
The funding for the project comes from the City’s Rebuild Illinois and Motor Fuel Tax Funds and there will be no direct charge for the property owners on these streets.
Contractor The contractor for this project is J.A. Johnson Paving, located at 1025 E. Addison Court, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
City Supervision This project is under the supervision of the City’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau. The resident engineer in the field will be Pankaj Chokshi, who will be directly responsible for all aspects of the construction. With questions or concerns, please contact 224-723-8237.
