Do you have a 12 to 15 year old at home? Complete the City’s Vaccination Contact Form!
The FDA and CDC have approved the Pfizer vaccine as safe and effective for children ages 12 to 15 years old. If you haven’t already, please be sure to complete the City’s COVID-19 Vaccination Contact Form (español) for every member of your household, no matter their age. This will ensure that the City can notify them of upcoming vaccination events.

 Provide input on a new skate park in Evanston
Join City staff for a second public discussion on May 25 regarding the installation of a new skate park in Evanston. At the meeting, staff will review input from the prior meeting, public survey results, short-term temporary installation plans, and a selected location for a permanent installation. There will also be an opportunity for open discussion and idea sharing. Join via Zoom.
 Help guide Evanston's COVID-19 recovery
Evanston community members can help guide Evanston’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic by reviewing and providing their input on the City’s Draft Post COVID-19 Action Plan. Input, ideas and other comments can be submitted to citymanagersoffice@cityofevanston.org by Fri., July 2.
 Farmers' market season has arrived
The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market has kicked off its 46th season! Come out every Saturday through November to enjoy 60 vendors selling everything from fruit to flowers to baked goods! The Market will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue.
Support local artisans: Head to the Maple Avenue Parking Garage on the first Saturday of every month after visiting the farmers' market to check out the Maker's Market featuring hundreds of handmade goods, including art, crafts, jewelry, handbags and more! Purchase tickets for Sat., June 5.
 Join the City's new Community Solar Program
Want to support solar energy and save money on your electric bill? The City has partnered with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and Chicago-based MC-Squared Energy Services to participate in the MMC CS2 Residential Community Solar Program, which helps residents and small businesses save money and develop renewable energy.
Program participants will save 20 percent on the energy supply portion of their monthly bills based on the solar generation credits achieved for their account. Enroll today!
 Lawn watering and leaf blower reminders
Lawn watering: In accordance with requirements from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, lawn watering restrictions are in place through September 15, with lawn watering prohibited citywide between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Outside of these hours, lawn watering is permitted for odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered dates and for even-numbered addresses on even-numbered dates. Gardens and lawns with newly laid sod or seeding are exempt from these limits.
Leaf blowers: Backpack-mounted or handheld gasoline-powered leaf blowers are not allowed for use between May 16 and September 29.
