The FDA and CDC have approved the Pfizer vaccine as safe and effective for children ages 12 to 15 years old. If you haven’t already, please be sure to complete the City’s COVID-19 Vaccination Contact Form (español) for every member of your household, no matter their age. This will ensure that the City can notify them of upcoming vaccination events.

Join City staff for a second public discussion on May 25 regarding the installation of a new skate park in Evanston. At the meeting, staff will review input from the prior meeting, public survey results, short-term temporary installation plans, and a selected location for a permanent installation. Also, make sure to get out for the AAPI Festival in Fountain Square on Sat., May 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring speakers, performances, and a community art project.

The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market has kicked off its 46th season! Come out every Saturday through November to enjoy 60 vendors selling everything from fruit to flowers to baked goods! The Market will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue.
Support local artisans: Head to the Maple Avenue Parking Garage on the first Saturday of every month after visiting the farmers' market to check out the Maker's Market featuring hundreds of handmade goods, including art, crafts, jewelry, handbags and more! Purchase tickets for Sat., June 5.

Beach season is right around the corner, with swimming beaches scheduled to open on May 29! Evanston residents can now purchase digital beach passes for the 2021 season using the Viply app or physical beach passes at all Evanston community centers.
