Check out this week's Parks and Recreation e-news featuring information about summer beach passes, a dog park public meeting, bingocize, and more!
Beach passes on sale starting Monday!
Evanston beach passes will be available for purchase beginning Monday, April 26! Swimming beaches will open on Saturday, May 29.
Smartphone users can now purchase their Evanston season and daily beach passes via the Viply app, an authorized mobile beach pass vendor of Evanston beaches. The Viply app can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play.
Beach passes will continue to be available for purchase at the Robert Crown Community Center, Levy Senior Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Ecology Center and Chandler-Newberger Community Center during their office hours. Payments can be made with cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
Evanston residents who meet the income requirement are eligible to participate in beach token fee assistance and the free beach token program. To learn more, visit cityofevanston.org/recreationscholarship or email scholarship@cityofevanston.org.

City to host second public meeting on potential new dog park
The City of Evanston will host a second public meeting to gather community input on a potential new dog park in Evanston.
The meeting will be hosted virtually via Zoom:

At the meeting, City staff will review input from the prior meeting, public survey results, and a short list of potential dog park locations. There will also be an opportunity for open discussion and idea sharing.

Bingocize offers a unique solution that mixes exercise, health education, and bingo to help overcome health problems. This program is open to adults 55 and over. Call the Levy Senior Center at 847-448-8250 to register.
