COVID-19 Update
Vaccinations
The City partnered with Northwestern University to host community point of dispensing (POD) events at an NU facility, boosting the City’s capacity to administer vaccines as supplies increase.
Progress this week and a look ahead
The City continues to host multiple vaccination events each week to administer the doses it receives from the State. Registration for these events is being prioritized by age, from oldest to youngest.
- This week, the City began administering vaccinations to those over the age of 50.
- Next week, the City anticipates beginning vaccinations for those age 45 and older.
If appointment slots are still available after individuals in the targeted age groups have had a chance to register, the City will notify residents in the next age group.
Updated! Check out the new vaccination dashboard
The City has launched an updated vaccination data dashboard (mobile-friendly version to come). The dashboard includes all Evanston residents who’ve received COVID-19 vaccinations as reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). This includes those who’ve received the vaccine at City events and through other providers.
Reminder: Register for the vaccine through multiple providers
If you’re 16 or older, you’re now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. To ensure you’re vaccinated as soon as possible, the City recommends seeking out appointments through multiple trusted providers, including:

Be alert for vaccine scams
The Illinois Attorney General’s Office reminds residents to be on alert for scams related to COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Trusted vaccine providers will never ask for your Social Security number, bank account number, or other financial information.
