 COVID-19 Vaccine Update
To date, the City has administered or distributed more than 23,000 total COVID-19 vaccine doses. View and explore the City’s interactive COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard (view on mobile) for Evanston-specific data.
All Evanston and Illinois residents 16 years and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as of today, April 12. Visit the City's website for more information.

April is Earth Month! Celebrate by participating in community events, including Climate Coffee with Kumar, Canal Shores Tree Planting, the Ecology Center Celebration, Beach Cleanups and more! More info.

 Producemobile, April 13
The Greater Chicago Food Depository's Producemobile will distribute boxes of fresh produce to community members in need at the James Park parking lot, 300 Dodge Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on April 13.
 Get your building permit applications in early
With a high volume of building permit activity expected this spring and summer, residents and businesses are encouraged to submit building permits as soon as possible to avoid possible delays to their projects. More information on how to submit a permit.
 April is Financial Literacy Month
In honor of Financial Literacy month in April, the YWCA Evanston/North Shore is hosting free financial literacy workshops including:
- Secure the Bag: Salary Negotiation, April 14, Register
- Basic Money Management, April 19, Register
- Family Financial Fair, April 27, Register
 Disaster Services Hero: Chef Q Ibraheem
As the pandemic caused many people to lose their jobs, renown Chicago Chef Q Ibraheem put her culinary passion to the service of those struggling to put food on the table. She started a free food delivery service to prepare farm-to-table meals and deliver them to families across Chicago. So far, she has provided more than 20,000 meals to Chicago families, which equates to 160-204 meals per day. Read more.
