Evanston Police Investigate Double Homicide on the 1800 Block of Hovland Court
EVANSTON, IL - On March 12, 2021, at 11:46 a.m. Evanston Police responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of Hovland Court. When officers arrived, they located three victims in front of 1811 Hovland Court. The victims are three males 18, 20 and 21 years of age. Evanston Fire Department Paramedics treated the victims on scene and transported them to Evanston Hospital.
Two of the victims were pronounced deceased at Evanston Hospital. The 18 year old victim did not suffer life threatening injuries and has received treatment.
Detectives and Forensics Specialists from the Evanston Police Department and NORTAF Major Crimes Task Force are investigating. The initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred while the three victims were on the porch at 1811 Hovland. A single gunman approached on foot and opened fire on the victims striking all three of them. The Evanston Police are not releasing victim information at this time, as family members are being notified.
