The City continues to advocate for more vaccine doses from the Illinois Department of Public Health, and is prepared to increase the pace of vaccine distribution as the supply increases.
FAQ: I’ve been fully vaccinated. Now what?
This week, the CDC issued public health guidelines for individuals who’ve been fully vaccinated. These individuals should continue to take precautions in public, such as wearing a face covering and social distancing, but may visit other fully vaccinated individuals as well as unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 complications without wearing a mask or social distancing.
Individuals are considered fully vaccinated two or more weeks after receiving both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
