Celebrate Black History and Joy This Month and All Year Long!!!
Don't have a movie for movie night?
Drop by any desk at the Main Library or at the Robert Crown Library Branch and grab a popcorn tub complete with a movie celebrating Black Cinema, popcorn and some questions for your family to discuss! But wait- that's not all ! There's a Black Inventor bingo card you can use at our virtual bingo session on Thursday, February 25 at 6 pm. The more movies you check out and view, the more bingo cards you get! If you want to dig into some Black books there's a booklist included, which has more movie recommendations too. If you can't get through all the movies and books -- don't worry -- EPL always has them on hand and we're constantly adding to our collection with new and exciting titles by Black authors and creators.
"Tote"ally Terrific
Design your own “resist-technique” tote bag with a kit!
Starting February 26 stop by the Robert Crown Library Branch or the the Teen Loft at the Main Library to grab your kit (while supplies last). People around the world have created "resist" cloth for thousands of years - batik, wax print, shibori, tie-dye... Now you'll have a chance to try it on a canvas tote bag! (Grades 1st-8th, Evanston Residents Only)
