Confirmed daily cases remain high
Evanston’s seven-day moving average of confirmed daily cases remained high at 29 new cases per day, driven largely by a record 67 cases reported on Thursday.
Testing
The City’s seven-day moving average positivity rate decreased slightly to 5.40 percent, remaining lower than the State of Illinois and Cook County.
As a reminder, you can access free testing daily at the State's COVID-19 community-based testing sites, including the nearest Harwood Heights and Arlington Heights locations. Testing is also available at some CVS, Walgreens and Physicians Immediate Care locations. Call your primary care provider for inquiries about testing.
Celebrate the holidays safely
As COVID-19 continues to surge throughout the country, please remember that the safest way to celebrate the holidays is at home with members of your own household. See the CDC’s guidelines for winter holidays.
