The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will be continuing construction in Evanston on the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) Phase One project, which includes rebuilding 100 year old rail infrastructure to improve transit services, between Monday, November 16 and Wednesday, November 25.
This phase of construction will take place on Madison Street between Custer Avenue and Chicago Avenue. Work will be performed on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. During work hours, the parking lane on the east side of Madison Street will be closed and traffic will be shifted to the east at 635 Chicago Avenue.
Construction will cause inconveniences in the area including street closures and increased noise. All efforts will be taken to minimize the impact of work.
For questions or concerns, please email RPM@transitchicago.com or leave a message for callback at 331-303-2499. For more information about RPM, visit transitchicago.com/RPM.
