Providing Peace of Mind, Celebrating Life
Join Deb Kobak of the Neptune Society on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., as she speaks on the process of what happens when a death occurs and the benefits of pre-planning. Deb will discuss the benefits of pre-planning to lock in expenses, eliminate unexpected costs and assist loved ones on the worst day of their lives so they know what to do and who to call. Traditional funerals have become increasingly expensive, which is why people are responding positively to the flexibility, convenience and affordability of cremation. This information is important for all, no matter what a person's wishes are. No charge. Registration is required by calling the Levy Senior Center at 847-448-8250. This program will be held via Zoom.

National Gold Medal Finalist
The Levy Senior Center is a part of the City of Evanston's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. We are honored to be one of the 2020 finalists for the National Gold Medal Award in Parks and Recreation.
The National Recreation and Park Association and American Academy for Park and Recreation Gold Medal Award program honors communities in the United States that demonstrate excellence in parks and recreation through long-range planning, resource management, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, program development, professional development and agency recognition.
Agencies are judged on their ability to address the needs of those they serve through the collective energies of community members, staff members, and elected officials. Four finalists in each class are chosen to compete for grand honors each year. The 2020 winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 27. Watch the 2020 Gold Medal video. Good luck to the Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department!
That's it for this week's Levy eNews.
