Evanston Police Announces 2020 National Night Out Events
 EVANSTON, IL - Community members are invited to participate in “National Night Out” (NNO) celebration events taking place throughout Evanston on Tuesday, October 6, beginning at 5 p.m. See below for a list of registered 2020 NNO locations and events:

Mason Park, 1724 Church St., 6:30 p.m. - 2nd Ward Alderman Peter Braithwaite and neighbors will participate with a movie in the park. Bring a chair, warm blanket and snacks to enjoy a viewing of Black Panther. Masks are required to attend and social distancing must be practiced.

Twiggs Park, Dodge Ave. and Simpson St., 5 p.m. - 5th Ward Alderman Robin Rue Simmons will be hosting an event with a local DJ, neighborhood history hunt, s'mores, and a vigil (Evanston Own It led by Pastor Cherry). Masks are required to attend and social distancing must be practiced.

Robert Crown Community Center, 1810 Main St., 6 to 7:30 p.m. Evanston Public Library will be on site with the library truck to provide 'grab and go books' and individual snacks. Masks are required to attend and social distancing must be practiced.
Residents are also asked to turn on their front porch lights that evening as a display of unity. Please wear masks and practice social distancing if attending any neighborhood events.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Neighbors participate across thousands of communities from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.
