September is National Senior Center Month! Here at the Levy Senior Center, we strive to build vital connections among our members and community every day. This fall, we're holding some outdoor special events to help bring seniors together this fall in James Park. Mark your calendars for Disco in the Park on September 25 and Drive in Movies on October 2 and November 6. Sign up now for the Fish Boil/Music on October 16!

Social Security - Your Questions Answered
All those 50 and older are welcome to attend. This seminar is sponsored and led by Neil Gardner of Edward Jones Financial in Skokie. Science with Seniors
Each month, graduate students from Northwestern University “visit” the Levy Senior Center to discuss different science topics. This month two topics will be discussed on Thurs., September 17 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Sleep and Memory. Join here.
Prohibition 1919: How a Nation Went Dry
In colonial times, the average American drank about seven gallons of alcoholic beverages per year, more than three times the current consumption. Presenter David Clark will explain how a confederation of disparate forces took a nation of imbibers dry and how the nation’s “Noble Experiment” in social engineering led to terrible unintended consequences.
