The City of Evanston's Public Works Agency will offer residents the free removal of up to six cubic yards of bulk garbage this fall as part of its Bulk Trash Pickup program. Fall 2020 bulk trash pickups will take place on Fridays, September 18 through October 9, and are scheduled according to residents' normal refuse pickup day. Condo buildings that are served by Lakeshore Recycling, the City’s contracted condo trash service provider, can participate in bulk trash pickup according to the residential schedule above based on their location.
Bulk trash pickup for residents whose normal refuse collection day is:
- Thursday will be Friday, September 18
- Monday will be Friday, September 25
- Tuesday will be Friday, October 2
- Wednesday will be Friday, October 9

Evanston's Annual Bike The Ridge
Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Annual Bike the Ridge ride! This event is limited to those on non-motorized bicycles only (motorized bicycles or skateboards are not allowed). Participants are required to social distance and wear a mask when a social distance of six feet or more cannot be maintained. Don't forget your helmet!

City to Host Four FY 2021 Budget Community Conversations
Planning for the City of Evanston FY 2021 Budget is underway and the City wants to hear from you! Throughout September, there will be four (4) virtual community sessions; they will include a brief overview of the City’s budget process followed by breakout room discussions. Input gathered at the meetings will be compiled and provided to City Council as part of the City's Proposed Budget on Friday, October 9.
