Presentation of Harley Clarke Proposals - Monday, Sept. 21, 6 p.m.

2021 Budget Community Conversations
Residents are invited to join in community budget conversations via Zoom on September 10, 16, and 21. On September 24, there will be a session in Spanish. All conversations will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The meetings will include a brief overview of the City’s budget process followed by breakout room discussions. Input gathered during these sessions will be presented to City Council. Register.
COVID-19 Testing at ETHS Next Week
The City is partnering with IDPH to host a temporary COVID-19 testing site at ETHS, September 8 through 10. Testing will take place daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or while supplies last, at the ETHS parking lot located east of Dodge Avenue and north of Lake Street. Both drive-through and walk-up testing will be available. More information.
Flu Vaccination Event — Thursday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The City is partnering with Walgreens to host a vaccination event at James Park. The event is for Evanston residents only and will be open to both drive-through and walk-through participants. Register.
 Early Voting
As you know, the 2020 Presidential Election is coming up on November 3. Due to COVID-19, voters are strongly encouraged to vote by mail. Registered suburban Cook County voters may request a mail ballot by filling out an online application. Mail ballots must be requested by October 29, but don’t wait!
Completed ballots should be mailed back to the Cook County Clerk’s office in the provided envelope. Or, ballots can be dropped off at the secure drop box at the Morton Civic Center during Early Voting hours, October 19 through November 2. More information.
 Fall bulk trash pickup: September 18 - October 9
Evanston's Public Works Agency will offer residents the free removal of up to six cubic yards of bulk garbage this fall as part of its Bulk Trash Pickup program. Fall 2020 bulk trash pickups will take place on Fridays, September 18 through October 9, and are scheduled according to residents' normal refuse pickup day. More details.

Evanston has a number of special green spaces whose natural beauty is enhanced by the steady attention and hard work of local volunteers. If you would like to roll up your sleeves and pitch in by helping to cut back invasive species, water plants and trees, and more, here are the habitat locations in the 7th Ward and the names of the people who can help you plan your volunteer time.

Fund for Evanston trees
Residents can help protect Evanston’s public elm trees from Dutch Elm disease by donating to the Fund for Evanston Trees. Visit evanstonforever.org and enter “Fund for Evanston Trees” in the Other Funds box.
