Traffic Stop Leads to Armed Habitual Criminal and Armed Violence Charges.
EVANSTON, IL - On August 20, 2020 at 8:02 p.m. Evanston Police Detectives were in the area of Ashland and Payne when they initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction.
Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, an odor of cannabis was detected emanating from the vehicle. Further investigation led to the discovery of weapons, ammunition, and suspect narcotics. All of the vehicle's occupants were arrested and transported to the Evanston Police Department.

Henley Jr., Anthony, male 21 years of age.
1300 block of Fargo, Des Plaines, IL.

-Traffic Offenses
A female passenger was released without charges.
