Emergency food pantry
To support residents facing economic hardship and food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has partnered with Northwestern University's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations and Valli Produce to establish an emergency food pantry.
What to know before you go. Evanston residents can pick up free, prepackaged boxes of food every Wednesday, April 15 through May, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or while supplies last. Pick-up will take place at James Park. View pick-up details and learn about additional resources.
You can help. Make a financial contribution to support the food pantry.
Reminders
The City has placed yard signage in parks and along pathways reminding residents to "Keep a Healthy Distance."
Keep a healthy distance
Gov. Pritzker's Stay at Home Order is in effect statewide through April 30. Remember: If you must go outside to complete an essential activity, such as grocery shopping, caring for a family member, or exercising, please maintain a healthy distance of at least six feet from others. The CDC also recommends the use of cloth face coverings to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to others. Above all, you can help save lives by staying home.
