Evanston Shop Local Gift Card Campaign April 25
Small Businesses provide our community with good jobs, quality customer service, and the character that makes our city feel like home. As most of our local retailers and service providers have been temporarily closed under the shelter in place order since April 7, we want to highlight their online shops and encourage everyone to purchase a gift card to use at a later date.
Join the Evanston business community on Sat., April 25 for the Evanston Shop Local Gift Card Day! Whether shopping for Mother's Day, an upcoming birthday, or just because, every gift card sale with help push business owners out of this crisis.
Visit our website for list of businesses.
Evanston T-Shirt Fundraiser
Downtown Evanston has partnered with Underground Printing to organize an Evanston T-Shirt Fundraiser to support Evanston retail shops. Proceeds from t-shirt sales go back to the local retail community through grants managed by LEND Evanston. Show your support by purchasing and wearing one of these t-shirts! Purchase shirts here.
Restaurant Community Resource List
The City of Evanston is compiling a comprehensive list of all Evanston food establishments that are available to provide meals for those in need, which could be shared with organizations working to alleviate food insecurity, including Connections for the Homeless, churches, and other social service agencies.
Additionally, this list would be posted on the City of Evanston’s COVID-19 page and 311 would be able to reference it when they take calls from people looking to donate money to restaurants or people asking for food.
If you would like your establishment to be included in this list, please take a moment to complete this web form.
In addition, we would encourage you to list your organization and its program on Aunt Bertha, an online social care network that connects people to resources and social services in their community.
To list your business, please go to auntbertha.com and follow these steps:
- In the lower right hand corner of the screen, click Claim Programs.
- Type in the name of your organization to see if it's already listed.
- If it is, click Claim and and complete the information on your organization and its programs.
- If your organization does not come up on the Claim Programs page, click Suggest Programs and follow the steps to get listed.
