COVID-19 doesn't take a break on sunny days, and neither should you. Please remember to keep a healthy distance when completing essential activities by staying at least six feet away from others.
"Stay at Home" Order: Governor Pritzker's statewide Stay at Home Order is in effect through Thurs., April 30. Please continue to stay home as much as possible and only go out for "essential" activities. Stay home, save lives.
Should I be wearing a face mask? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that individuals wear cloth face coverings, not surgical masks or N-95 respirators, in public settings. Learn how to make a mask at home!

Food resources are available to those in need
In order to help those who are struggling financially during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've put together a list of local food resources and organizations providing meals to those in need. Find more resources on the City's COVID-19 Resources page.
Fresh produce and shelf-stable food: The Greater Chicago Food Depository's Producemobile is scheduled to come to the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tues., April 14.
Grocery Shopping Safety: The Illinois Department of Public Health has issued guidance for what shoppers can do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in grocery stores.

Virtual City Council meeting on Monday
The next City Council meeting will take place on Mon., April 13 at 6 p.m. Due to public health concerns, residents cannot provide public comment in-person at this meeting, but may submit written comments in advance or sign up to provide public comment by phone or video. Watch the live broadcast on Cable Channel 16 or online.
Golf Road resurfacing project to begin April 13
The Illinois Department of Transportation will be contracting road resurfacing work on Golf Road in Evanston from Crawford Avenue to McCormick Boulevard. Construction will begin the week of April 13 and is expected to be completed by the end of November 2020.
Let's keep the Census momentum going!
Of the nation’s households, around 46.2 percent have already responded to the 2020 Census. The remaining households will receive a paper questionnaire in the mail beginning April 8. Residents can still respond to the census online or by phone. Make sure Evanston counts!
