Good afternoon,
We'd like to say "thank you" to all of our first responders, healthcare workers, nonprofit organizations, essential workers, and volunteers who are stepping up to keep Evanston residents safe and healthy. On Sundays at 9 a.m., several houses of worship will toll their bells to show support for our "helpers" and to lift community spirits.
Read below for information about the "Stay at Home" Order extension, the 2020 U.S. Census, Coronavirus Q&As and more!
Stay Home, Save Lives
As the weather becomes warmer and the sun starts to peak out from the clouds, it's tempting to spend more time outside. Please remember to stay home as much as possible. Staying home saves lives. When you do have to go outside to walk your dog or go for a run, remember to practice social distancing by staying at least six feet away from others at all times.
"Stay at Home" Order extended: Governor Pritzker has announced a statewide Stay at Home Order extension through Thurs., April 30. What does the Order mean?
City operations update: City facilities will remain closed through the Stay at Home Order, but operations and services continue. Learn more.
Make sure Evanston counts!
By now, all Evanston households should have received an official invitation in the mail asking them to complete the 2020 U.S. Census online, by phone, or by mail. Your participation is critical to ensuring that Evanston receives a fair share of federal funding to support a variety of services.
Census Day: April 1 was Census Day! This means when completing the Census, you should include everyone living in your home on April 1, 2020.
