Old Robert Crown Community Center demolition work update

Demolition of the old Robert Crown Community Center will continue through the week of May 4. The first phase of the demolition process, mobilization and asbestos abatement work, is complete and the City will now move on to the next phase. 

Weeks 2 to 4: Dismantle, separate and haul away above-grade building sections
Weeks 5 to 7: Excavate and remove building foundations

Demolition work will be conducted between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work may occasionally be conducted on Saturdays, depending on weather conditions and contractor progress.

Contractor
The contractor for this project is Bulley and Andrews, located at 1755 W. Armitage Ave., Chicago, IL.

This project is monitored by the City’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau.
