During asbestos abatement and demolition work, the contractor will follow all OSHA, IEPA, Cook County, and IDPH regulations to ensure the safety of workers and the general public, as well as for the proper handling and disposal of materials. An independent environmental engineering firm will also perform ambient air monitoring to ensure air quality requirements are met. Water will be used extensively to control dust and dirt from becoming airborne. Vibration monitoring equipment will also be installed to alert the contractor in the event that construction related vibrations approach levels which could potentially damage adjacent structures.
Contractor The contractor for this project is Bulley and Andrews, located at 1755 W. Armitage Ave., Chicago, IL.
