Road Rage Incident Leads To Unlawful Use Of Weapon Arrest
 EVANSTON, IL - On February 20 at 7:27 a.m. Evanston Police Officers responded to road rage incident that started on the north side of Chicago and entered Evanston. Officers were advised by dispatch that the driver of grey Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on Sheridan Road waving a gun out the vehicle window. Officers were able to locate a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop in the east alley of 820 Foster.
Officers made contact with the driver without incident. The driver admitted to having a handgun in his secure glove box. The driver, know identified as Adelle Spraags, signed a consent to search form and the officers recovered a Glock 9mm handgun and an extended magazine form the vehicle.
Spraags was arrested and transported to the station. Officers confirmed that Spraags had a valid FOID card, but did not have a CCL. Spraags was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Spraags is currently out on bond. His next court date is March 30, 2020 at the Skokie Courthouse.
