Fire Apparatus Operator Timothy O'Gara Announced His Retirement After 20 Years of Service With The Evanston Fire Department
EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - Fire Apparatus Operator Tim O'Gara has retired from the Evanston Fire Department after twenty-years of dedicated service. Since joining the Evanston Fire Department on December 6, 1999. Fire Apparatus Operator O'Gara has served the City of Evanston and the department with honor and dedication throughout his tenure.
Beginning his career as a firefighter/paramedic, O'Gara was always one to take on important roles within the Department, such as mentoring the new firefighters and playing a critical role in the development of the department’s Fire Apparatus Operator program.
"Throughout his entire career, FAO O'Gara has distinguished himself as dedicated and committed to always doing the right to accomplish our mission. “He was extremely well respected for his extensive experience and knowledge along with his tremendous work ethic. Tim will certainly be missed".
The Evanston Fire Department would like to wish Tim a happy and healthy retirement and all the best with his future endeavors.
