Evanston CommUNITY Picnic this Sunday!

Community members of all ages are invited to celebrate Evanston, diversity and going back to school at the City's CommUNITY Picnic this Sun., Aug. 25, noon to 4 p.m., at Ingraham Park, located behind the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with free food, activities, and entertainment!

Experience Jalisco en Evanston on August 29

Jalisco

Celebrate a prelude to Hispanic Heritage Month at the 8th annual Jalisco en Evanston event on Thurs., Aug. 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Levy Senior Center. This free event, presented by FEDEJAL, is open to the public and will feature live mariachi music, folkloric dance performances and artisans from Jalisco.

Closing Weekend of 'Black Ballerina' at FJT

The world premiere production of "Black Ballerina," by Stephen Fedo and Tim Rhoze, closes this weekend with two performances remaining on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.
