Evanston Police Announce Second Annual Five-O Fitness Event

EVANSTON, IL - Come work up a good sweat with the Evanston Police Department and the Evanston community by joining the “Five-O” Fitness program.

The "Five-O" Fitness program is an EPD partnership with local gyms and fitness trainers. The aim of the program is to promote fitness and healthy diet through continued outreach between the Evanston Police Department and Evanston community. “Five-O Fitness” is modeled after the already established "Coffee with a Cop". However, this program will allow community members to interact with Evanston police officers in a fitness setting, as well as highlighting local gyms and fitness centers.

The second annual event will be hosted by the Evanston Police Department, E-Town Fitness Club, and YoFresh.  The event will be held on Saturday September 7, 10am-12pm, at E-Town Fitness Club located at 2401 Main. The specialized E-Town coaches will be providing the 60-minute workout for the day followed by some healthy eating tips.  Admission is $10 at the door, and you must be 18 years or older to participate.  All of the proceeds will go directly to support Curt’s Café. Participants will also enjoy tasty smoothies provided by YoFresh. Waivers must be signed at the event prior to participation. Visit cityofevanston.org/50Fitness to register. For more information call 847-868-8995 (E-Town Fitness Club) or 847-448-4311.
