Special Community Meeting June 25 - Proposed Zoning Change for Welsh-Ryan Arena
Northwestern University representatives are hosting a community meeting to discuss the University’s proposal to amend the City’s zoning code to expand the types of uses allowed at Welsh-Ryan Arena to include additional events. Dave Davis (NU Neighborhood & Community Relations) and Mike Polisky (NU Athletics) are looking forward to talking with residents about NU’s proposal and ways in which to address community concerns.
The meeting will be held on Tues., June 25, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.., in the Welsh-Ryan Arena, 2705 Ashland Ave, Wilson Club.
NOTE: This community meeting replaces the previously announced 7th Ward meeting originally scheduled for June 27.

We're Out Walking (WOW) is a 12-week walking and health education campaign to promote health, wellness, community and physical activity for all. The 2019 program will kick off with local fitness vendors, motivational speakers and demonstrations on Sat., June 15, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at ETHS, 1600 Dodge Ave.

Evanston Recycles July 6
Don't miss the 9th annual "Evanston Recycles" event on Sat., July 6, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Evanston Township High School. The free “drive up, drop off” event provides an opportunity to recycle and donate a variety of items and securely shred documents.
Starlight Concert at Canal Shores July 9
Evanston's 2019 Starlight Concert Series will feature nine free outdoor concerts at park locations throughout the city through July 30. The series is presented by the City's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
Starlight concerts will take place on Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Interactive family activities will occur before each concert from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
On July 9, the concert will be held at Canal Shores and will feature ÉSSO performing dance music from North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean Islands.
