Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market Season Begins Saturday

Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market


The Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market will kick off its 44th season this Sat., May 4, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue!  Each week, up to 60 vendors will sell a wide variety of fresh goods. LINK cards are accepted and customers can receive up to $25 of matching funds each Saturday. This weekend, Byline Bank will also offer free document shredding from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Bring the entire family to Robert Crown Community Center's Spring Ice Show, "True Colors," this weekend. Performances take place on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. General seating is available for $9 at the door or online by clicking the button below.

Evanston Literary Festival May 11-19

Evanston Literary Festival 2019


The 5th annual Evanston Literary Festival will be held May 11-19 at sites around Evanston to celebrate the city’s vibrant literary community and history. The festival will include dozens of events featuring fiction, poetry, nonfiction, children’s literature, storytelling, graphic novels, writing workshops, and much more, with prominent authors, many of whom live or work in Evanston. Admission to all events is free.
