Clayton Marks Foundry Fire Remembrance Ceremony Set for December 13

EVANSTON, ILLINOIS -Thursday, December 13, 2018 will mark the 113th anniversary of the Clayton Marks Foundry Fire, where Firefighters William Craig and George Stiles made the ultimate sacrifice. 

Craig and Stiles died after being trapped in a fire at the Clayton Marks manufacturing plant at 1900 Dempster St. on December 13, 1905 when an east building wall collapsed.

Please join the Evanston Fire Department on Thursday, December 13 at 7:30 a.m., at Evanston Plaza, located at Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue, for a brief remembrance ceremony honoring our fallen brothers.
