Street Cleaning Dates Added in Portions of West and South Evanston

The City of Evanston's Public Works Agency has announced additional street cleaning dates in December for Residential Zones 3 and 4 in west and south Evanston. Depending on the weather and street conditions, sweeping may not be possible, but crews will push, mound and remove as many leaves as possible. All parking restrictions are voluntary; there will be no ticketing or towing.

Residential streets in Zone 3 will be cleaned:

  • Tuesday, December 4, south and west sides of the street
  • Wednesday, December 5, north and east sides of the street

Residential streets in Zone 4 will be cleaned:

  • Tuesday, December 11, south and west sides of the street
  • Wednesday, December 12, north and east sides  of the street

Community members who've subscribed to email or text message notifications for street cleaning will receive a courtesy reminder for these additional street cleaning dates at least one day prior to the cleaning day. To subscribe to text message or email notifications for street cleaning, visit cityofevanston.org/streetcleaning or call/text 847-448-4311. For convenience, residents may simply dial 3-1-1 in Evanston.

The City reminds community members that blowing or raking leaves into the street is a nuisance, and can cause flooding and block sewers. Violators will be fined.
