The process will involve removing the existing turf lawn and replacing it, mainly, with native plants. Work will begin this week and conclude by the end of July. This process will not be disruptive to residents.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

If any residents or groups in the 2nd Ward are planning their own activities and wish for officers to stop by to say hi, please contact Officer Reggie Napier at rnappier@cityofevanston.org or 847-866-5019, to have your event added to the list.
